Two AC outputs and multifunctional

The Victron MultiPlus Compact is a powerful pure sine wave inverter , an optimal battery charger using adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact housing.
The main output guarantees uninterrupted operation . In the event of a grid failure or an interruption in shore or generator power, the MultiPlus takes over power to the connected loads. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. Work interruptions are impossible. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at one of the MultiPlus's inputs. Loads that must not drain the batteries can be connected to this output.

 

Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection

Up to six devices of this type can be connected in parallel for high power requirements. For example, six 24/5000/120 units provide 25kW/30kVA output power with a 720A charging capacity.

3-phase operation

Regardless of the parallel connection , three units of the same model can also be configured for a 3-phase output. Additionally, up to six sets of three units can be connected in parallel to achieve a 75kW/90kVA inverter and over 2,000A charging capacity.

Power Control

The MultiPlus is also a very powerful battery charger . It draws a large amount of current from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230V AC). The MultiControl remote control panel allows you to set the maximum mains or generator current it can draw. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC devices into account and uses only the available current for charging. This prevents overloading.

PowerAssist

This function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle . PowerAssist enables the Victron Energy MultiPlus to support underpowered alternative sources. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator output is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery (e.g., Pylontech batteries). If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficient energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Four-stage adaptive charger and dual battery charging

The main output, with the help of advanced software, ensures powerful charging of the battery system. The software fine-tunes the automatic, three-stage charging process to best match the battery condition. It also adds a fourth stage for long periods in float mode. The MultiPlus also charges a second battery using an independent float charge output designed for a prime mover or generator starter battery.

System configuration easier than ever

If the settings need to be changed, this can be done within a few minutes using the new DIP switch setting procedure. Even parallel connection or 3-phase operation can be programmed using the DIP switches. Alternatively, VE-Net can be used instead of the DIP switches. Advanced software (VE.Bus Quick Configuration and VE.Bus System Configuration) is also available to configure some new, advanced features.
