Victron Energy MultiPlus-II GX 24V/48V 3000 VA to 5000 VA I 230 V AC battery inverter I incl. GX control unit
Inverter/charger including GX unit
As an inverter/charger with built-in device networking, the Victron MultiPlus-II GX communicates with many batteries (e.g. Pylontech batteries), solar chargers and other devices to control the grid-connected or off-grid power installation.
Here you can find the list of compatible batteries .
The Victron MultiPlus-II GX allows parallel operation to increase power or battery charge. The device can also be configured for a three-phase power supply. Only one GX unit is required for this.
Many functions can be controlled via smartphone. For example:
- uninterruptible power supply
- Setting load limits
- Supplementing limited availability of mains power with battery power
- Remote monitoring
Applications
The Victron MultiPlus-II GX is suitable for applications where additional connectivity to other products or remote monitoring is required, such as on-grid or off-grid energy storage systems (ESS) and some mobile applications.
For example, the device can be easily connected to PV inverters and can also control and display them.
The MultiPlus-II uses the excess DC power to charge batteries or feed power back into the grid. Conversely, it can also discharge the battery and use the grid power to compensate for the DC power shortage.
Another important advantage: The Victron MultiPlus can also form a three-phase network, be connected to other MPII and together generate a lot of power, even three-phase.
Power outage - emergency power supply - backup power
In the event of a power failure, the device disconnects the mains connection and continues to supply power to the consumers.
The switchover occurs so quickly that electronic devices continue to operate without interruption. This allows you to generate both emergency and backup power without the usual external accessories, as the certified ENS is already built in.
The size of the battery storage system used depends on the project. Battery storage systems from various manufacturers are available and are certified for use with this Victron Energy inverter. In the following example, only one device per type is shown.
Emergency power supply product package
This sample emergency power solution is ideal for commercial, retail, office, and private users. The battery storage system is scalable and can be expanded at a later date.
GX functionality
The GX device is the communication hub that monitors the installation, provides firmware updates, and allows changes to MultiPlus settings.
The built-in GX device includes:
- VE.Can interface to connect Victron VE.Can devices (e.g. VE.Can MPPT) (can also be reconfigured for use with compatible CAN bus Li-Ion batteries)
- VE.Direct connection
- Ethernet port
- USB port
