Anti-Islanding Box 63A single and three-phase
If energy from a battery system could theoretically be fed back into the public grid in the event of a grid failure, the battery system must be equipped with an anti-islanding device that complies with local regulations. If a power outage occurs at the power plant, this so-called ENS disconnects the connection to the grid, allowing your system to continue operating as an independent system.
The 63A single- and three-phase Anti-Islanding Box is a combination of an anti-islanding device, the Ziehl UFR1001E anti-islanding relay, two inline switching devices, and a main circuit breaker. It is suitable for both single-phase and three-phase systems. It has a rating of up to 63 A per phase, and all components are conveniently housed in an IP65-rated enclosure.
The Anti-Islanding Box can be integrated into a grid-fed inverter/charging system (ESS) to comply with local anti-islanding regulations.
The Anti-Islanding Box 63A for single-phase and three-phase systems meets the following standards:
- G83 / 2 and G59 / 3 (proof of conformity Great Britain)
- VDE-AR-N 4105 (Certification of conformity NA Schutz Germany)
- ÖVE / ÖNORM E 8001-4-712 (certificate of non-objection Austria)
- DIN V VDE V 0126-1-1 / A1 / NOI-RES_13E (Certificate of Non-Objection Europe)
- NRS-097-2-1 (Certification of Conformity South Africa)
The German, Austrian and French standards require two electrical switching devices connected in series.
The Ziehl relay controls both switching devices.
Note: The second contactor is not required for G83/2 and G59/3 compliant systems.
