The KACO NH EPS Box is the ideal solution for anyone seeking a complete backup power supply. In the event of a power outage, the box automatically takes over the supply of specified loads and offers the option of switching the entire house (or selected areas) to backup power.

• Circuit 1 – Automatic switching:
  Critical consumers such as lights, routers and cooling devices remain in operation without interruption.
• Circuit 2 – Manual activation:
  Additional consumers such as heat pumps, wall boxes or electric stoves can be switched on manually if the battery capacity is sufficient.

The box can supply the entire house, but due to the high power capacity and load control, unnecessary loads are initially switched off to extend battery life.

Maximum backup power in 3-phase operation

The backup power box ensures that even three-phase consumers can continue operating in stand-alone mode. With a maximum output of approximately 12 kW (depending on the inverter model), all critical devices can continue running. Thanks to the three-phase power supply and short-term overload capacity, even larger devices can be supplied without any problems.

Grid bypass for system faults

If the inverter or backup power box requires maintenance or during a fault, the grid bypass enables seamless transition to grid operation. This means the house continues to be powered by the grid during maintenance or in the event of a system fault – without interrupting the power supply.

Automatic & manual switching (dual-circuit system)

• Automatic switching: Critical consumers continue to run without interruption as soon as the grid fails.
• Manual switching: Additional devices such as a wallbox or electric stove can be manually switched on if sufficient capacity is available. This keeps the backup power supply flexible and controllable.
