The latest and most advanced features on the industry's most proven platform—that's the essence of OutBack's new FXR series of grid/hybrid inverters/chargers. Capable of operating off-grid or grid-tied in a single model, the FXR grid/hybrid inverters/chargers offer system designers unprecedented flexibility and compatibility for virtually any energy conversion scenario.

The new FXR features and technologies on the acclaimed FX platform include:

• Both off-grid and on-grid functionality in one unit
• Seven programmable modes, including GridZero and Support Mode and integrated network communication
• Advanced Battery Charging (ABC) with extended charging voltages and timing parameters that enable system developers to consider the specific charging profiles and algorithms of new and emerging energy storage technologies such as lithium-ion, aqueous ion, and flow chemistry batteries
• Easy system upgradeability in the field

FXR inverters/chargers can be paired with a MATE3 to add OPTICS RE for monitoring and controlling system performance from any location. Multiple units can be stacked and interconnected with other OutBack power electronics for seamless system integration and to function in a wide range of applications and system sizes. Up to nine inverters can be combined in a 3-phase system with 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V models, and up to 36 kW in a grid-tied 24 V or 48 V system.
